8-4 Play 2/24/2012: BLOCK DROPPIN’ BEATS

Join us for a little boom-tiss-boom, as James “Milkman” Mielke of Q Entertainment visits 8-4 Towers to go deep (so deep) into the creation of PS Vita launch title Lumines: Electronic Symphony. But first, a game-by-game dissection of the U.S. and Japanese Nintendo Direct conferences, and updates on PS3 faves The Last Guardian and (most importantly) Tokyo Jungle, all in news. Wrap it all up with fresh hands-on Gravity Daze/Rush impressions and you got yourself a show, mister!

    I have a few questions:

Wich other localization companies do you guys know/work with? I’d love to get a few names, as I have tons of different questions for them as well.

If anyone knows any, I’d be thankful if you could share that information with me :)

    Thank you!

  2. a comment, which says:

I’ll probably be crucified for this, but I think Hiroko should leave the podcast. Nothing personal, she’s a lovely person, but she doesn’t contribute much, and when she does it’s usually quite petty. “Mhm”, “Uhuh”, “yeah…” and “right…”, plus giggling a lot, doesn’t really count as contribution; it’s just (and I’m sorry for saying this) really annoying. I mean, if you know you have little to contribute, why bother being on the podcast? It just smacks of arrogance to me. Maybe this is the guys’ fault for not coercing her to speak more, I don’t know.

As of this writing your podcast has not shown up in iTunes under 1up radio. Just thought you should know. Keep up the great work!

  4. Solomon says:

Great episode bring Milky on again sooner rather than later.

  5. ShinnFlowen says:

Great podcast, but I think Hiroko should give her opinion more O_O.

  7. Hiroko Fan says:

Keep Hiroko please; I want to hear what a Japanese woman has to say about games.

Please ignore the weeaboos and otaku/grotaku’s above. I know a woman’s voice is scary to you.
