Wow, surprise podcast ! is it Golden Week there ?

  2. ShinnFlowen says:

Yay, the podcast was much longer and they talked about a decent amount of new games :D. I only wish you guys talk a bit more about fire emblem because the wikia is not that helpful as of now. I still think it was unfair to insult the sony “super smash” clone when every FPS or turn based game is a rip off of the original game that created each specific genre or type of game.

  3. I’m kinda annoyed, but happy you guys went to GiantBomb. But now, their hipster fanbase get to harshly critique you guys’ each week. Like literally, any time non-GB related content is hosted on that site, the comments about it are usually negative and full of snark. Now you have a bunch of late, self-entitled, bandwagon jumpers saying things like John Ricciardi is the downer of the podcast? Like, wtf?!

  4. Aria says:

A kid on the playground “And then I found this guy! And he had this gun!”

  5. ben sawyer says:

Great podcast guys. Very professional, good sound quality. Congrats on the Giant Bomb acquisition!

  6. I’m kind of sad Grand Knights Story wont be getting an English localization. On the plus side though I got a chance to play the demo for Dragon’s Dogma and I have to say you guy did a great job with translation. I’m totally digging the Ye Olde English. Reminds me a lot of Vagrant Story dialogue-wise.

Please, in the name of humanity, stop putting anti-consumer douchebags on your show.

The instant that IOS developer said “IOS is great because it kills used sales”, I turned off the podcast.

Please stop people who hate your audience a platform.

    It sucks to listen to.

There are shit loads of awesome Japanese games that have been released this gen. Many of them interesting and new as well. Games such as Valkyria Chronicles, Vanquish, Catherine, Demon’s/Dark Souls, Dragon’s Dogma, Gravity Rush and etc. Also. there have been more new Japanese IPs then Western ones. On the other hand, Western games have been extremely stagnant, banging on narrative and production values while having mediocre gameplay. (for eg. The Mass Effect and Uncharted series.) And there are as many HD collections of Western franchises as there are Japanese ones. Hitman Trilogy, Mass Effect Trilogy, Prince of Persia Collection, Tomb Raider Collection etc.
