Another great podcast. As a fan of dota2, it’s great that some of you guys are attempting to learn dota2. The Gaf’s dota 2 thread is great for newbie info. You can check this link

Mark, seriously. If you’re buying a disc with content that is locked behind a pay-wall, you are *not* getting the full release. I wish you guys (you and JJ mostly) would stop defending this, because it makes you look really sleazy, given your friendship with people in the industry.
Internally Capcom somehow made the mistake of thinking DLC is an acronym for “Disk Locked Content” rather than the widely accepted “Down-Loadable Content.”
That and the corporate motto “If you want to make a Fantasy RPG, you have to drive a female employee to suicide” apparently:

When I’m already paying sixty bucks for a title, it’s not ‘entitlement’ to expect full content. Holding back content on a game isn’t building new material for later release, it’s giving me half a product, then expecting me to pay for the conclusion. I don’t buy a book chapter by chapter. I don’t watch a film hour by hour. I won’t play a fucking game piece by piece.
I recognize that you guys are in the industry and are looking at this from a developer’s stand point.
But I’m the lower income working guy who lives paycheck to paycheck. And if this is the way the industry decides to go, you can justify it all you want, but I won’t be there for it. And I suspect many others feel the same.
Good day.
