Thanks for listening!

Haven’t listened to the podcast yet, but when I found out just a few seconds ago that you guys did the DQVI translation, I got even more excited to play the game. How’s it feel to be the guys behind the very first (and very official) English translation of this game?
Great episode! Thanks for taking my question. :)
How come you guys are always picking on Johnny Walmart?
Dragon Quest 6 questions!
Did 8-4 have any influence on the title change from Realms of Reverie to Realms of Revelation?
How awesome is the English translation of Dragon Quest 6? ;p
Can you talk about how you guys got the job to work on the game? Did Square contact you to do the game or did you contact them?
Also, I really liked hearing about the Japanese director/talkshow host/comedian. It would be really cool if you guys talked a little more about things like that.
Looking forward to more Catherine discussion, and that Ni no Kuni discussion… some day.
Also, you guys diss iPhone games way too much. I feel sorry for JJ getting picked on like that ;)
I’m still not 100% convinced guitar hero had to die. Isn’t Singstar still around?
Im hoping that you manage to find some time to put something out this weekend when you pick up your 3DS. I tried it last week and was amazed to see that it works! Its been a while since a new console launched and im sure there will be some impressive lines in the early hours of the morning. Any pictures, impressions, videos etc would be greatly appreciated. Hearing the discussion of the translation process was very interesting and like many, i would love to hear more about it.
Also that Ninokuni podcast cant come soon enough! I gave in and picked up a copy pretty cheaply from play-asia (before i got hit with VAT – thanks UK Govt) and after 9 hours of gaming have been enjoying it a lot. Stop teasing us and let us know your thoughts. Its a shame Level 5 do their translation internally (dont they?) as im sure you would do a wonderful job translating this
Anyway, just keep putting these out – its the best gaming podcast around and has reinvigorated my interest in japanese games. im sure i wouldn’t have picked up Ninokuni (and a plethora of japanese translation text books!) if it hadnt been for 8-4 play
Have you guys ever hid any in-jokes or obscure references in your localizations?
I ask because while playing the PSP port of Lunar, I came across a villager who quotes a song from Kiss’ “Music from The Elder.” I could not believe someone referenced that terrible album and was so amazed I nearly dropped my psp. I couldn’t help but think that very few people, if anyone, probably picked up on the reference, and it just made me love the game even more. I kind of wish I could contact the person who put that in there and say, “I got your Kiss reference!”
Any way, it just has me wondering if the 8-4 team has done anything like that.
Also, don’t forget you keep promising to talk about Okamiden. I’m really curious about that game.
Looking forward to Ni No Kuni chat. Any chance of you guys localising the DS version? Any news of plans for an English release at all?
OMG! Voltron music! :D
